Dr. Vasamsetti and Dr. Turek with Abby, our certified therapy dog
Driftwood Dental Studio in Wilmington, NC is led by two dentists, Dr. Jenny Turek and Dr. Prasad Vasamsetti. Both have completed the Fellowship program of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), both completed advanced residencies in general dentistry, and both spent years caring for underserved patients in North Carolina. Our practice philosophy is simple: integrity, honesty and conservatism in treatment planning.
Dr. Jenny Turek, DDS
Dr. Turek earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco after a Bachelor of Science in biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at Nova Southeastern University. She spent more than seven years with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services providing dental care in rural parts of the state. She has completed the ICOI Fellowship program, is a past president of the Tri County Dental Society, and volunteers with Mission of Mercy and the Wilmington St. Mary Health Center. Dr. Prasad Vasamsetti, DMD
Dr. Vasamsetti earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Mississippi in 2005, completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at Nova Southeastern University, and holds an MBA in health sector management from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He directed dental services for the Pender County Health Department, where he launched the award-winning Forever Smiles mobile dental clinic. He completed implantology training at the Triangle Dental Institute in 2018 and holds a Fellowship from the ICOI, and he has chaired the board of St. Mary's Health Clinic in Wilmington, where he volunteers.
